Kayla = Pure + Beloved

Meet sweet Kayla Rose...

Kayla certainly lives up to the meaning of her name, "pure and beloved"...

She is such a little angel, and she is a lucky girl for being born into such a loving family. Her parents couldn't get enough of her, it was so sweet to watch.

Within minutes of meeting her, I could tell that Kayla had some natural modeling talent! I didn't even need to prop or position her, she starting vogue-ing for me the minute I picked up the camera. : )

The world is a more beautiful place now...

Second cousin-once-removed...or third cousin...how does that go, Michelle? Haha... Either way, she is family, and I love her! Olivia graced the world with her presence a week earlier than planned, and we couldn't be more thrilled. She was born into a family of mostly boys, so we are all looking forward to spoiling the little princess rotten!

Even though today's photoshoot was supposed to be all about Olivia, Michelle had a very special gift for ME. She asked me to be Olivia's godmother...fighting the tears from rolling down my cheek (and onto my lens! :-o), I graciously accepted, and found myself counting my blessings once again.

It is amazing to watch our families grow. We have been blessed with such healthy, huggable, sweet babies, and not a day goes by that I don't stop and realize how lucky I am. Michelle, thank you for choosing me to be Liv's godmomma. I am honored to take the role, and I look forward to our kids growing up together, hopefully being as close as we are!

Little Mason James!

I absolutely love shooting newborns. Spending time with Mason was especially cool because he is exactly one week younger than my little guy. LeeAnn and I had kept in touch throughout our pregnancies, checking in to see how the other was feeling. I cannot believe time has passed so quickly, and here we are, infants in hand - crazy! They are both about 2 1/2 months and the little peanuts are growing up too fast!

My Muse!

A very dear friend of mine asked me to take some photos of her in her element, the great outdoors! Right away I had a few places in mind that could produce some breathtaking photos. I have to say, I don't think I have ever enjoyed myself more during a shoot. I think the results are absolutely stunning, and the experience was well worth each and every mosquito bite I count this morning!

Doesn't this look like we shot it in a Costa Rican rainforest? Love it! Who knew we could find such beauty in the valley? Haha...

Had to sneak this one in for fun...She loves all things living and they love her right back!
