Um, is it getting hot in here? No, that's just Shane!

So, those of you that have read my blog posts in the past know that I typically shoot babies, children, families, female portraits, with the occasional maternity shoot...all of which I absolutely love to do, by the way! Well, today I had my very first male to shoot! (It's true, not even my own husband will pose for me! : ) I'm still working on him...I'm sure he'll cave one day, I am relentless and he hates to hear me nag!)

OK, back to business...Shane is an aspiring male model. He came to pose for our workshop today, and we all had a great time and got some amazing images. What was intended to be a GAP-inspired shoot took a very interesting turn when Shane offered to take his shirt off!

A cloudy evening on the beach never looked so good!

There is a group that I belong to, photographers of all different experience levels, getting together to network, share tips, and practice different lighting techniques. We had a blast last night at Anchor Beach, and had a gorgeous model to shoot! Stacey was amazing to work with. Take a look at some of my shots!

The Blonde, Blue-eyed Boy...

Last Friday, I met up with adorable Ian for a little portrait session. We chose Milford Harbor as the setting, which was a very sentimental location - his parents had their wedding portraits taken there! Instantly, I fell in love with his big blue eyes, which look more like faceted sapphires...And he's got eyelashes that would make any woman jealous. I know I was!

Thank you, Nicole and Ian! This was a lot of fun for me...and I look forward to doing it again in the fall with the whole family.

Hannah + Cassidy, the Sweetest Sisters!

These two sisters were simply a pleasure to shoot. Hannah, who's almost 2, was exploring the sand, the water, and the driftwood, while her 12 year old sister, Cassidy, was either turning over rocks to find crabs or demonstrating her tumbling abilities! (Did I mention how impressed I was by your back tucks, Cassie? :)) So much to shoot, so little time! I had so much fun with these girls - take a look at some of the shots from our session on the beach!

Cousin Summer Fun!

When I think back to my fondest childhood memories, almost all of them include my cousins. We always spent a lot of time together over the summer, visiting each other's houses for sleepovers and camp-outs. We would also meet up at Grandma & Grandpa's house, run through the grass and just get silly!

This past week I had the opportunity to capture some of these same memories for the most beautiful family. Take a peek at all of the fun we had. Those sweet summer smiles are absolutely contagious!
